[Award] Young-soo Chung won BIOINFO 2024 best paper award from Korean Society for Bioinformatics (KSBI)
On October 24th, our lab member Young-soo Chung won the Grand Prize for Best Paper from the Korean Society for Bioinformatics (KSBI) for the paper titled “CLEMENT: Genomic Decomposition and Reconstruction of Non-Tumor Subclones,” co-authored with Seungseok Kang and supervised by Professor Sangwoo Kim. The awarded paper presents a clustering algorithm that uses DNA mutation profiles applicable to non-cancerous tissue, addressing challenges associated with false positives and false negatives. The paper was published in Nucleic Acids Research in July 2024. Congratulations!
